Privacy Policy

Overview

LumoVolt is a content management app that lets you save videos from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X, and receive automatic transcriptions and key takeaways. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We keep this simple: we collect what we need to run the service and nothing more. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password hash. We use this to authenticate you and associate your data with your account.

Content you save

When you save a video, we store the URL you submitted, the platform it came from, metadata associated with the video (title, author, duration), the transcript we generate from it, and any takeaways or notes. This is the core data that makes the service work.

Collections and labels

We store any collections you create and the organization structure you apply to your saves.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information — such as which features you use and error logs — to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information beyond your account ID.

How We Use Your Information

• —To provide the service — process video URLs, generate transcripts, store your saves.
• —To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• —To send transactional communications (account confirmation, password reset). We don't send marketing emails unless you opt in.
• —To diagnose and fix technical issues.
• —To improve the app over time, based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate LumoVolt:

• —Supabase: Authentication and database storage. Your account information and saves are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• —AI transcription services: Video content is processed through AI services to generate transcripts and takeaways. The video URL and audio content may be sent to these services for processing.
• —Apple: The iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect data as described in their own privacy policy.
• —Vercel Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics for basic, anonymized page performance data on our web platform.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated content within 30 days. Some anonymized data may be retained for longer for analytical purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Children's Privacy

LumoVolt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app. Continued use of LumoVolt after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
